They used to live in Kibra (the biggest slum in Kenya) together with her sister. Their mother died and they were left orphans after their father deserted them. Their grandmother took the mandate of taking care of them. Her grandmother was very old and things were getting hard on her. A social worker who was working with the slum dwellers referred them to Huruma children’s home. She joined Huruma in 2001 at the age of 7 together with her sister, Winnie. The girl Faith became very better for she couldn’t understand why her father had deserted them. She later came to accept and moved on. Faith did her primary and secondary studies at the Ngong Huruma Primary and Secondary schools. Later on, she travelled abroad and got an admission at the Grand Canyon University, Arizona, where she graduated with a degree in Bachelors of Forensic Science and Criminal Investigations in August 2020.
