His grandmother took him through primary education but when she could not manage the secondary education she sent him to Huruma to look for help. He did his secondary studies at the Sunshine Secondary School under the sponsorship of Faith Evangelistic Ministries (FEM) and Huruma Children’s Home-Ngong. Later, he got admission at the Moi University where he graduated with BSc. in Agricultural Economics and Resource Management.
