Jecinta Wanjiru

History: Jecinta is the last born and only the girl in a family of 7 brothers which includes Pastor Jojo. Together with her brothers, they came to Huruma in the year 2000 after their father left them because their mother was sick. They had gone through a hard time with their sick mother before they joined the home.
Education: She did her primary studies at the Ngong Huruma Primary School and later her secondary studies in Moi Girls Isinya High School courtesy of sponsorship by the Equity Bank of Kenya Wings to Fly Programme. Afterwards, she enrolled at the Kenyatta University and graduated on December 2019 with BA in Gender and Development Studies, her tertiary studies being sponsored by the I am Huruma College Fund. She also served as an elected student leader in the University.
Occupation: Currently works as a Program Assistant in Gender Advocacy at a Non-Governmental Organization here in Kenya where she leads the Youth Advocacy and Engagement Department.
