The Ngong Huruma Schools, just adjacent to the home, has Primary & Secondary Schools.  The school's vision is to develop each student to this or her fullest potential spiritually, intellectually, morally, physically, that each may grow in grace, enjoy freedom through knowledge and lead a healthy, productive, meaningful Christian life.

Pre-School

Primary School

The Huruma Primary School commenced in 1993. It is comprised of the Kindergarten classes and Grade 1 to Grade 8. Ngong Huruma Primary School provides education for 160 boys and girls, both from the orphanage and surrounding community, between the ages of 2 and 17. 15 teachers from the surrounding community are employed by the school.

Secondary School

The Huruma Secondary School commenced in 2009. It comprises of Form 1 (Grade 9) to Form 4 (Grade 12) students both from the children's home and nearby community. The school has a population of 80 students. We are looking forward to having our first KCSE candidates in 2013.

  • A Computer lab with internet
  • Boarding facilities are available

Huruma Schools

Primary School:

  • Lower class – from std.1 to std.3
  • Upper class – from std.4 to std.8

  • A Computer lab with internet
  • Boarding facilities are available

Both the Primary and Secondary schools are approved by the Kenyan Ministry of Education and is based on the 8-4-4 system of education. The Ministry of Education has  conducted an inspection survey of the school. The home has also obtained a school registration and authorization letter to build a permanent school. The schools are registered by the Government of Kenya and are run by Huruma Trust Fund.
