So much to be thankful for in the month of September! We recently shared with you a video of Mama calling for your support in meeting her URGENT NEED. The response was both touching and encouraging in so many ways. Kenyans from all walks of life came together and made visits to the home with food supplies and goodies for the children. Friends and partners of Huruma from across the globe donated towards this call. For this, and all inquiries made during this time, we are very thankful and grateful for your love which you continue to show in amazing ways.

It was also the World Clean Up Day! Team members from the Hub Mall in Karen partnered with our children to clean up Ngong town. It was a great privilege for our children to be part of this noble course while having an opportunity to give back to their community. The team convened at Huruma Children’s Home in the morning where they spent time bonding with the children and sharing food donations and t-shirts before proceeding to Ngong town. To crown it all up, Huruma family also celebrated all September birthdays! Thanks to all our friends in Arizona who wrote out birthday cards for the children so that they each could have a card with a special message. In addition to the card, they each received a surprise birthday cake. Happy birthday to all our September babies. We also want to thank everyone who came to celebrate their birthday with our children in the month of September. Thank you for sharing your special day with us.
